Worship is at the heart of who we are at Port Orange Presbyterian Church. Our goal is to offer a variety of worship opportunities that are relevant to people’s lives and authentic to our reformed Christian heritage.
On Sunday morning we offer three worship services.
Our 8:00 am Morning Worship and Prayer is a full service with abbreviated elements (40-45 minutes), is offered for those who are seeking to begin their day early. The congregation will gather on the choir side of the sanctuary - towards the front as we seek to worship in a more quiet and contemplative style.
Our 9:00 am Contemporary Service is designed as an alternative worshp experience offering modern Christian music, a more conversational style, while maintaining some traditional liturgical elements. Children are encouraged to worship together with their families.
Our 11:00 Traditional Liturgy Service maintains our heritage with a fresh and meaningful order of service. By incorporating a variety of liturgical elements, choir, hymns, prayers and readings, we hope to meet the worship needs of those who are seeking an authentic and relevant traditional worship expereince. Children's Church will be provided during this time.
Sunday School Classes for All Ages are from 10:05 am to 10:55 am.
Communion is served at all services on the first Sunday of the month.
5th Sunday - Mission and Service Projects
As a way to build on our commitment to mission and service we will be offering creative programing on the 5th Sunday of any month with 5 Sundays. (4 times a year) On those Sundays we will suspend all normal worship and Sunday School classes and instead provide service projects both inside and outside of the church.
